WYSL and NYCSL Announce Enhanced Cooperation on NY State Cup and Player Development Program
June 24, 2015 – The Westchester Youth Soccer League (WYSL) and the New York Club Soccer League (NYCSL) are pleased to announce that they will jointly promote the NY State Cup program run under the auspices of the NYCSL. All WYSL teams (U9-U19) will have the opportunity to participate in the NY State Cup in the Gold and Silver divisions, as appropriate. The WYSL will post a direct link to NY State Cup registration on its website.
Also, players from WYSL member teams will be eligible to be nominated for the NYCSL’s Player Development Program (PDP) training center events. The player or the club for whom the player plays will be responsible for a small contribution to the program; otherwise, the program is free to participants.
"The WYSL recognizes that its strength is in running a travel soccer league,” said, Julian DiDonato, President of the WYSL. “We see that the NYCSL has built the premier cup program in the area and we want to encourage participation of our teams in this program as a supplement to their regular league schedule. In addition, we think we have players who will benefit from the Player Development Program and we appreciate the opportunity to have our players participate.”
“We welcome the WYSL’s more formal participation in the NY State Cup program,” said Gary Grossman, President of NYCSL. “Although some WYSL teams have already participated in the Cup, we believe this more formal cooperation with help the Cup to grow even further while, at the same time, we seek other ways to cooperate in the best interest of the players and the greater youth soccer community.”

That’s where AtPeakSports (www.atpeaksports.com) can help. AT PEAK is a youth sports fitness app, developed with medical professionals and professional athletes, with exercise workouts based on medical studies that show a 50% reduction in injuries.
WYSL is providing AT PEAK to all coaches and parents and youth soccer players for FREE. Just watch for information about AT PEAK as you register for the Fall season and encourage your kids to use it. They will play better, with fewer injuries.
