The WYSL Coaching Academy is offering coaching clinics to interested WYSL coaches in specific technical topics.  Rich Becker, Malcolm Brown & Carlos Mejia of the WYSL Coaching Academy will be instructing the topics on Monday, April 23, May 21 and June 11 at Saxon Woods Field.  These clinics will help new and established coaches organize practice sessions more effectively and provde an understanding of USSF and NSCAA methodology of coaching the game. (Emphasis would be on coaching the player to improve technical application and skill) WYSL teams will be brought in to have the coaches that are attending observe the teams during the sessions.  We will finish each session with a match.

May 21 - 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm            Combining Individual Passing & Receiving

June 11 - 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm          Finding the target player with the long pass

There is no cost to WYSL members

Location:  Saxon Woods Soccer Field - 1300 Mamaroneck Ave.

From the North:  From I287 eastbound, take exit 9S, Hutchinson River Parkway (south).  At the traffic signal make a right onto the Hutchinson river Pks southbound.  Take exit 23 onto Mamaroneck Ave (nortbound). At the next traffic signal make a left into Saxon Woods Park.  Make a quick left and proceed to the back of parking lot.

From the South:  Take the Hutchinson River Pks North.  Take Exit 23 onto Mamaroneck Ave (northbound) follow directions above

Equipment;  Wear turf shoes or cleats.  Bring pencil or pen, ball & water bottle

The WYSL Coaching Academy was founded in 2005 to provide yourth soccer coaches with a better knowledge of the game.  Previous courses taugh in White Plains and Scardale were very well received.
